We are very blessed to have the participation of Grandmother Elkie White, who is a respected elder in her community, bringing awareness of the role of the elder to her being in the world.
Elkie also has a strong connection to her Western ancestry. She has undertaken over twenty years of study on the path of modern druidry; a nature-based form of spiritual practice. Like most indigenous spiritualities, druidry respects the wisdom of its elders. Grandmother Elkie and other wise women started a women's circle 25 years ago, which has been an ongoing focus for support and eldership in their lives and in their relationships.
Elkie does not promise to be able to answer all of your questions but will share her own path to eldership, which will, perhaps, answer some of them.
Grandmother Elkie invites you to seek her out after the service if you have any questions and she will answer them personally, in a one-on-one settting.
Bring your curiosity, your longing, your experiences and your hearts, and if you have an elder who would like to be part of this exploration, please invite them along!
